I’m Kati Asgari, the proud owner of Kati Asgari.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I immigrated to Canada in 2004, and it did not take me long to assimilate into my new adopted country, as I made a successful start with a career in teaching. However, I was looking for a job where I could be more independent and empower others.

I started to explore different options, and after much soul searching, I decided to become a mortgage broker as it fitted with my dream of taking on a self-supporting role. So, I took a leap of faith and became an agent in 2010.

Over the past ten years, I’ve noticed a lot of changes in the rules, which include moving from forty years of amortization to the present twenty-five years. The B20 guidelines have also tightened mortgage qualification, and it takes increased effort to educate clients.

When consulting clients, I always hold myself accountable, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart is my honesty. I paint a realistic picture of what needs to get achieved, which ensures that I do not over promise and under deliver.

Having the courage to say no and softening the expectations of clients has ensured that I have built a robust rapport with them. My customer care has also helped me to find excellent solutions, which has made me successful.

I feel proud to have been able to help families secure a mortgage, especially when they thought it would not be possible. Seeing people receive the keys and move into their dream home has given me immense satisfaction over the years and makes all the long hours worthwhile.

I’m committed to my job, which means that my phone can ring at any time during the evening, and even on weekends. However, I’m also a mother, and I feel that I handle both roles well. So, when I’m not securing lenders, I love to watch movies with my boys and take my dog, Teddy, out for walks.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
